Midpoint Formula Worksheets
What is a midpoint?
The midpoint is the center or the middle point of a line segment. It cuts the segment into two equal parts.
A line segment has the endpoints (x)1, (y)1 , and (x)2, (y)2. The midpoint of a line segment is calculated by half of the sum of the x-coordinates of the two points and half of the sum of the y-coordinates of the two points.
The midpoint formula can be written as, [(x)1 + (x)2]/2, [(y)1 + (y)2]/2
